Legends of the Sunset Strip
A 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization whose mission is to promote the arts, music, culture and history of the world-famous Sunset Strip in West Hollywood, California.
Our Why - Our Work
The rock and roll history and prestige of The Sunset Strip, which can be traced back to the 1920's and through the 20th century is what has made The Sunset Strip known worldwide and should be embraced and celebrated moving forward, remains a driving factor in both tourist visits and business location decisions.
Legends of the Sunset Strip will work with the City of West Hollywood, property owners, the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, local businesses, individuals, and organizations to select individuals, artists, and groups influential in establishing the arts, culture, and legacy of The Sunset Strip to honor and install annually.
Legends may install and maintain physical improvements in the public right of way, public-facing displays and/or undertake related efforts along Sunset Boulevard in the City of West Hollywood to honor selectees, educate the public, and/or celebrate the cultural legacy of The Sunset Strip.

Design Competition
We are looking to launch a Request for Ideas (RFI) design competition to bring our vision to life in the first quarter of 2024, seeking creative and innovative narrative proposals from artists, designers, architects, and visionaries.
This competition will provide a platform for generating fresh and visionary concepts for a Rock Walk of Fame along Sunset Boulevard, distinct from the traditional Hollywood Walk of Fame stars.
From this competition, a few finalists will be awarded a stipend and invited to submit a formal Request for Proposal (RFP).
