Ribbon Cutting - Ceremony!! "Fountain Day School" . Please Note --> This is a Past Event!! .
Tuesday MARCH 9th, at 4:30 Join us and our special honored guests Mayor Abbe Land (West Hollywood), Council Members and the WeHo Chamber of Commerce for our Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. Fountain Day School is the ONLY Pre-School in the entire United States that has a full time swim program in their curriculum. A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, Marhc 9th at 4:30 P.M, to commemorate this monumental announcement. “With the completion of our new retractable roof, we will now have swim classes year round.” announced Mary Nouskajian Director of Fountain Day School. Ms. Mary, as she is affectionately known, has taught the swim program for over 30 years. “Learning to swim builds confidence, increases lung capacity, and works all the muscle groups, it’s the best thing we can do for our students and families.” Fountain Day School has served the West Hollywood community for over 50 years has always been on the cutting edge of service for their families. There are 115 students between the ages of 2-6 years old. In 2005 Fountain Day School partnered with Whole Foods to serve healthy hot lunches. Today marks a new chapter in their future. “We are always re-evaluating how we can best serve our students. At two (2) years old we want to make their experience exciting, and stimulating all in a loving environment. Our reward is the smile on their faces and the sound of laughter ringing through our classes.” Says Andrew Rakos (Mr. Andrew) Admissions Director. “Parents love what we do here and we value their support. We are partners and we want to make a difference.” “When parents see this retractable roof they gasp.” Says Ms. Jessica, Academic Director. “With one hand we can slide the entire roof open and create an outdoor pool. Its really amazing, you have to see it to believe it. I wish my closet door worked as easily! ” Jane Dwinell (Ms. Jane) Co-owner with Ms. Mary says, “Our Mother Evangeline, started this school so many years ago. She insisted that all our students learn to swim, its essential living in California.
